SIPARD is located 5 K.m.s away from Agartala, the state capital. It is spread over an area of 10 acres with a 3 storied main building. It has the facilities to conduct 6-7 training programmes simultaneously. The institute has well-equipped air-conditioned Lecture Halls as well as conference hall with all modern facilities. A hostel with a capacity to accommodate 50 trainees and a small library with more than 6000 books/journals is functioning from 10 AM to 8 PM. The main conference hall (air-conditioned) can accommodate 120 participants. The lecture halls are all air conditioned and well equipped with the latest facilities. SIPARD has one mini bus for transportation of the participants within Agartala. During the training period, the participants can have access to books and journals in the library. For the convenience of the participants SIPARD has Xerox, telefax, internet and E-mail facilities. The Boarding and lodging for the participants is taken care of by SIPARD and for all training programmes boarding and lodging facilities are provided to the trainees free of cost. A ladies guest house to accommodate 10 trainees are located in the campus of SIPARD.

The academic faculty consists of five Assistant Professors with specialization in public administration, rural development, gender studies, social development and information technology. In order to enrich the training and research evaluation studies being taken up by the resource persons, through out the country both from the Govt. and Non-Govt. organizations has been identified as the guest faculty to complement the efforts of the core faculty.

Campus & Institute Building

SIPARD campus is spread over an area of 10 acres. The academic building is a three-storied structure having about
 9000 sq. ft. floor area, which was constructed in the year 1993 and since, then SIPARD has formally come into existence.. Top of Page

Lecture Hall

SIPARD is having seven numbers of lecture halls, which are used for the training purposes. Largest lecture hall can accommodate 125 participants, second largest lecture hall can accommodate 50 participants, 2 lecture halls can accommodate about 40 participants each and remaining 3 can accommodate 20-25 participants for training purposes. The main lecture halls are fully equipped with teaching aids like PA set, cordless microphone, conferencing system, overhead projector, slide projector, LCD projector with personal computer, VCR etc. so that effective training using audio visual media can be imparted to the trainees.

Hostel

SIPARD is having 1 hostel with total 40 beds for male participants on its campus. Apart from this, there is a guest house to accommodate 10 women participants. In addition there is well furnished, fully air-conditioned guest house for outside resource persons & speakers located in the campus of SIPARD.
 

Computer Laboratory

With the growth of Information Technology, the governmental organisations have to change and adjust themselves to meet the changing needs of the time. The benefits of IT can be availed by the government and the people only if computer literacy in government is given adequate importance. Realizing this need, SIPARD has undertaken a large number of computer education courses for government employees to make them computer literate as well as to equip them with adequate knowledge of the latest computer technology available. In order to train a large number of employees, apart from in-house faculties, SIPARD has made an arrangement to utilize the services of guest faculties from other reputed institutes

Library

SIPARD has a fully computerized library in its campus for benefit of trainees, research scholars, faculty members and officers of the state. There are 6000+ books, jarnals and periodicals are available in the library. The library is functioning from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. in the working days. The catalogs of the library books are fully computerized with help of NIC make web based e-Granthalaya software. The interested readers can browse the catalogs of the books based on different types of queries such as subjects, authors etc.
